Youth Group – SPECIAL EVENT – AMC Movie & Culver’s! See Below
AMC & CULVER’S THIS SUNDAY’S YOUTH GROUP – April 8th
We will be meeting at the 20 Mile AMC Movie Theater and families are invited to join us! We will be going to the 4:25 Showing of “I Can Only Imagine.” Youth will gather and sit together for the movie. I will wait outside the theater until 4:25 at the latest. PLEASE ARRIVE between 4:00-4:20. From the movie (which runs 1 hr. 50 minutes) we will walk TOGETHER to Culver’s for dinner and fellowship time. Students must have money for both the movie and their dinner. Parents – please plan to COME IN and make contact with me that you are picking up your youth. Plan for pick up at 7:30 from Culver’s.
YOU MUST REGISTER for the South Denver Youth Party & Night of Worship (& Mini Weekend Retreat)
On April 20th we will kick off a mini retreat together! The weekend will consist of: meeting at the church, joining small groups, traveling with your small group to the 1.Church Youth Party and Worship Night at Mission Hills Church! Click here for our promo video – Please show this to your youth to get them excited. Then we will return to PUMC to stay overnight in the fellowship hall on the Winter Shelter Cots (bring bedding). Saturday will consist of fun around Parker, intertwined with small group discussions and meals! Pick up with be Saturday evening at PUMC at 9 PM. Cost is $50 a person and will include all food and fun. Please register your youth by clicking here to access the Signup Genius Link, so I know how many small group leaders/drivers I will need. Currently I do not have enough youth signed up to make this weekend work. If I do not have 20-25 students signed up by this Sunday (4/8), we will need to cancel, as it is cost prohibitive.
Summer Help
I have 7 Sundays where I will need some help covering Sunday School classes. All it takes is a smile and to get the students talking (and for Jr. High that’s not too hard. Ha, ha!) It’s very easy, and I send the curriculum a week ahead of schedule, so you have time to look it over. Jr. High Mission Trip
There are still some spaces left for the Junior High Mission Trip to Buckhorn Camp! I have noticed that Session 2 is booked, but Session 1 (our session) still has some availability! I just wanted to let all current 6th and 7th graders know that it’s a wonderful introductory experience to mission work. It’s truly a half camp/half mission trip experience. To register, please click this link and register directly with Buckhorn. We have a great group so far! Students are welcome to register and invite a friend (even if they don’t attend our church). I’d just love for you to take the opportunity to attend. Many senior high students miss their days at Buckhorn!
Youth Sunday – Youth Pictures
As part of our Youth Sunday this summer (June 10th) I’d like to have a running slide show of “who are youth are outside the church.” So, PLEASE email me a picture of your youth “doing their thing.” Whether it’s marching band, debate, playing video games, singing, track, etc. Take a picture or send me one you already have. The picture will show up better on the screens if it is a horizontal picture (think about the orientation of the screens in the sanctuary). Send them as soon as you can, because we don’t want to be working on this at the last minute. Thanks! I think it will be really cool!
