Ruth Wills

Ruth Wills, Lay Leader

Ruth was born into a Methodist family, attended a Liberal Arts College with a Methodist foundation, and has continued in active participation in the Parker UMC since moving to this area in 1967. She is currently the church’s Lay Leader, the sub-district of Mile High’s Lay Leader, and a member of the Rocky Mountain Conference’s Board of Lay Ministry. She has been involved with the United Methodist Women’s organization since early in the 1970’s serving not only at the local level, but also on the District and Conference Mission teams. She is part of the Lay Missional Team of the Conference and is one of the planning group for the Conflict Transformation Team of the RMC. Recently she was elected to be on the team from Rocky Mountain to participate in the 2016 General and Jurisdictional Conferences.

Her life has centered on deepening her spiritual journey through prayer, biblical studies, reading, and leading groups and classes. She is a retired Medical Technologist and the past President of the former mental health agency, KM Counseling Center. “God has blessed me with the ability to participate in not only the spiritual formation of others, but also in the physical and mental health areas of life.”
