Greetings To You All,
This is the time of year when there is an opportunity for all laity to take courses for Lay Servant Ministries. You can take the “Basic Course” which included United Methodist information, spiritual gifts, leadership development and spiritual practices. This is a really good foundational course for lay people. You could also take a course on “Planning Worship” – a help for those who would like to be involved in worship planning or on the worship committee. The third course offered is “Living Our United Methodists Belief”. The first and third courses are also offered in Spanish.
These classes will be held at one of our neighboring UMCs—Smoky Hill UMC, October 9 & 10. They will be from 6:30p to 9p on Friday and then 8:30a to 4p on Saturday. The cost is $30 for the book, snacks, breakfast & lunch. Registration forms are available in the church office or at the Welcome Desk and are due the end of September.
