Horses and Unicorns!

“Horses and Unicorns!”  A response that came during Children’s Time a few weeks ago from one of our 3-year-olds when asked what will always make you happy.  “So good!”  A comment made by one of our kindergarteners after taking communion.  “I just really like Jesus!”  A statement made by one of our preschoolers during drop off last month.  Children have so many wonderful truths that they share with us on a daily basis… all we have to do is listen.  And they have so many things to teach us about faith.  After all, Jesus said that we must have childlike faith.  And that is exactly what I am going to be sharing with the Women’s Retreat February 27-March 1st… having a childlike faith.  I hope that you will set some time aside and join us for a wonderful weekend!

And speaking of children, did you know that last year, we were able to bless children in our preschool with over $50,000 in scholarships so that they would be able to not only grow in their education, but experience the wonderful presence of Jesus in their lives?  It is one of the most exciting ministries that we do at our church!  With 231 children that are a part of Little Blessings Preschool and Kindergarten, along with our 27 wonderful staff, it truly is an amazing ministry.  Some of these children and their families go to our church.  Some go to other churches.  And some never go to church.  Not only do we prepare them for the rest of their education careers, but we also send with them the knowledge that God is there for them and that Jesus loves them.  What better ministry is that, then to share the love of God with children?

Would you be interested in being a part of this amazing ministry?  Consider helping us provide scholarships to some of our families who are in need in our preschool community.  These are families who have had an unexpected medical crisis… families where the dad has lost his job and the mom is going back to school… a single mom who has to go back to work but desperately wants her child in a Christian educational experience… and so on.  Won’t you become a part of our team and sponsor a scholarship for one of these blessed children in our midst?  I pray that you will hear God’s calling when he says, “Let the children come to me” and be a blessing to one of these beautiful children so that they may continue to know the love of God in their lives.

Thank you for being a part of these children’s lives, and take some time to really listen to the wonderful insight into live and faith that they so generously give!
