Fellow Disciple of Christ,

These are exciting times at the Parker United Methodist Church.  Our momentum is building.  We are Growing Together in our desire to love God and to love others.  Growing Together will be our theme for our 2016/2017 stewardship focus.  We hope you will join your sisters and brothers in the church by Growing Together in generosity.

We are Growing Together in service to our fellow members of the Congregation:

The Caring Ministry team is reaching out to more individuals in our congregation each week to provide support to those who are in need due to illness or family challenges.

We are Growing Together in service to our Community:

The Winter Shelter Network starts next month to welcome homeless women and their children with a warm, secure bed and three meals for the day.

We support 320 children in our Little Blessings Pre-School and Kindergarten.  Not only do they get superior Early Childhood Education and an introduction to Christ, but this year we expanded to a second location and added a Drop In Child Care program

We are Growing Together in service to the World:

We will pack and send 200,000 meals for hungry children around the World through Feed My Starving Children

The Church has sent mission teams this year to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Respire Haiti, India, the Navajo Nation and Cortez Colorado.  At the same time while we continue to serve our community through the Parker Task Force and other regional mission partners.

We are Growing Together in our commitment to discipleship and service as we grow internally with our focus on Christian education, ministry to children and youth, and our extensive ministry of music and fine arts.

Now it is time for all of us to take the next step.  Your financial support and commitment to pray will assure that we continue Growing Together with a great vision for the future.  We are blessed with a beautiful facility that provides us a place to gather and allows us to open our doors to a myriad of community functions.   Good things are happening at the Parker United Methodist Church every day of the week! Our staff team always stands ready to provide service and leadership.

You’ll be hearing more from us soon to provide more information on the plans of the church, and how you can be a part of Growing Together.  I know that you will be blessed when you open your heart to maintain the momentum.

Ernie Loomis and the Growing Together Team.
