Ensemble & Orchestra Schedule

We hope that you will join us and lend your voices as an ensemble member for our Handel’s Messiah Performance! Since this is a community event we welcome singers of varied music experience and backgrounds.

Performance Date

Performance Sunday December 14th | Warm-up at 8:30 AM, 9 AM Performance

Join us for one Messiah performance at 9 AM on December 14th! We ask that you arrive before start time to ensure your position and readiness for performance. Please wear concert black attire.

Rehearsals

(Choir) | Rehearsal (Informal) Wednesday December 10th | 7-8 PM

7:00 – 8:00 PM Rehearsal at Parker United Methodist Church (Chorus Only). Bring your Messiah Books and plan to go over the large chorus numbers.

Meet Our 2025 Community Messiah Conductor – Phill Hatton

Phill Hatton is a music educator, choral conductor, and bass-baritone currently based in Portland, Oregon. Phill graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s degree in vocal music education in 2020. Phill has experience singing choral music at the highest level with groups such as the Voces8 US Scholars, the Charles Wood Singers, the University of Louisville Cardinal Singers, and the Portland State Chamber Choir. From 2021-2024, Phill worked full time as an educator at Legend High School in Parker, Colorado. While at Legend, he directed four choirs, two orchestras and taught an AP music theory course, along with serving as the music director for the school’s musical theatre productions. Now in Oregon, Phill is pursuing a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting from Portland State University. He directs two choirs at PSU and is the choir director of Valley Community Presbyterian Church. Phill is thrilled to be back at Parker UMC again to conduct this year’s performance of the Messiah!
