My name is Jenn Bruns and I am the 3’s Bee Classroom teacher this year. I am very excited about a great school year and the opportunity to “bee” at Little Blessings this year.
A little about my background: I have been teaching since 2004; I graduated from Colorado State University in 2002 with my B.A. in Early Childhood Education and in 2005 from the University of Colorado at Denver with my Masters in Educational Psychology, as well as my teaching license in 2003. I am a Colorado native, but I have also lived and taught elementary school in Las Vegas, NV and Manassas, VA. I’ve lived and taught in Colorado since 2007 in the Douglas County School District. I currently work as a Gifted and Talented Facilitator for the district in addition to my Little Blessings position. I am currently completing my second Masters Endorsement in Gifted Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
I have a beautiful family and am very proud of my twins Natalie and Nicholas; they were born in January 2012. They are beautiful second graders and keep me entertained and VERY busy. In April 2015, we welcomed the beautiful baby Ella, who is a very busy Pre-K student at Little Blessings! All of my kids have gone through Little Blessings and we absolutely love it. I have a wonderful husband, a gorgeous black cat named Paris, and a super sweet golden retriever named Fergus– a full house! I will share pictures of my family and I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and learning about your families, pets, etc. In my free time (what little there is…), I like to run, shop, paint, scrapbook, or read a good book. I also enjoy traveling and photography when time allows!
