Kurt Stroman, Director of Music

Kurt is a second-generation Colorado native. Kurt grew up east of Greeley, Colorado where his family farmed and raised cattle. Kurt completed his music coursework and degree from the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with his Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Kurt is recently retired from over 30 years of teaching music in the Douglas County School District as a music teacher. Kurt currently teaches online classes for eDCSD, Douglas County’s online school, and is the high school choir director at Denver Christian School. Kurt has been leading the Music and Fine Arts Ministry at Parker United Methodist Church since 1997. Kurt is thankful for the relationships and people that are a part of Parker United Methodist Church.

Kurt enjoys classic cars, traveling, is an avid fly fisherman, and most loves spending time with his family. Kurt’s wife Tina is also a retired  Spanish teacher and Learning Specialist from Douglas County Schools. Tina now works in development for Make-A-Wish Colorado. They have three adult children, Isaac, Kaleb, and Maya.
